Kitchen Plumbing Repair in Bradenton, FL

This one happened over in Bradenton.
The homeowner met us at the door and walked straight to the kitchen.
No long explanation.
No tour of the house.
She just reached over, turned on the faucet and looked at me.
Nothing.
Not even a trickle.
I always tell people that’s actually helpful.
When something isn’t working at all, at least we know where to start.
She said it had been working fine the night before. That morning, she went to fill up the coffee pot and…nothing.
Not exactly how anybody wants to start their day.
One of the first things we did was start checking everything around the kitchen.
Sometimes it’s something simple.
Sometimes it isn’t.
You don’t really know until you start looking.
One of the guys called me over after a few minutes.
“I think I found it.”
Sure enough…there it was.
I’m not going to pretend every plumbing problem is exciting.
Most aren’t.
They’re usually a process of eliminating one possibility after another until something finally makes sense.
That’s exactly what happened here.
Once we found the problem, the repair itself didn’t take nearly as long as finding it.
Funny how that works.
I heard water running a few minutes later and walked back into the kitchen.
The homeowner was already standing at the sink.
She turned the faucet on.
This time it worked exactly like it should.
She let it run for a second and smiled.
“That’s a lot better.”
I don’t think people realize how much they use their kitchen sink until they suddenly can’t.
You wash dishes.
Fill a glass.
Rinse vegetables.
Make coffee.
It doesn’t seem like much until every one of those things comes to a stop.
Before we left, she asked if there was anything she could’ve done differently to prevent it.
Honestly…
Not really.
Some plumbing problems just happen.
The important part is getting somebody out there to figure it out before a small issue turns into a much bigger one.
