New Air Conditioner Installation for a Sarasota Condo

We were in Sarasota this week replacing an air conditioner in a condo.
The homeowner met us outside before we even unloaded the truck.
First thing he said was,
“I’m hoping this is the last time I have to think about my AC for a while.”
I laughed and told him that’s usually the plan.
Turns out he’d been squeezing a few more years out of the old system. A repair here. Another repair a few months later. It kept running…until it didn’t make much sense anymore.
We’ve all done that with something.
One more repair.
Maybe one more season.
Eventually you hit the point where replacing it just makes more sense.
Condo installs can be a little different than working on a single-family home.
Sometimes you’re dealing with tighter spaces.
Sometimes it’s getting equipment through a hallway without bumping somebody’s freshly painted walls.
This one wasn’t bad.
Just took a little extra planning before we started moving everything inside.
One of the guys stopped halfway through and said,
“Watch that corner.”
Good call.
Made it through without a scratch.
The old system came out a lot easier than it probably went in years ago.
Funny how that works.
Once the new equipment was in place, we started getting everything hooked back up.
Nothing dramatic happened.
Honestly, those are the jobs you appreciate the most.
Everything fit.
Everything tested the way it should.
The thermostat fired right up.
Cold air.
Exactly what you want.
Before we packed up, the homeowner stood over one of the supply vents for a few seconds.
Didn’t say anything at first.
Then he smiled.
“That already feels better.”
It’s hard to beat that reaction.
Especially in Sarasota.
You don’t have to go very many days without air conditioning before you remember how much you depend on it.
