When it comes to air conditioning in Florida, you need the best, most efficient system available. That’s why we think a ductless AC in Sarasota, FL is the perfect choice for many homeowners who are looking for a less conventional solution to their cooling needs.
Keep reading, we promise it will be worth it.
How Does a Ductless System Work?
That’s a good question, and in order to answer it, we’re going to have to bring in some science. Ductless air conditioners work similarly to central air conditioners with lines of refrigerant that constantly evaporate and condense. When it runs through the evaporator coil, it evaporates and draws heat with it. When it then runs through the condenser coil, it condenses and disperses the heat. This process is done from inside to outside, so your ductless system effectively moves heat from inside to outside.
What Makes It Different?
The major difference between a ductless air conditioner and a central AC, is the method by which the air gets throughout your home. A central air conditioner only uses one combined outdoor and indoor unit while a ductless system uses one outdoor cabinet and up to four indoor air handlers that are in charge of dispersing the air. A central AC then relies on ductwork to disperse air, while a ductless system only needs the blower fans already inside the air handlers.
This might seem like a minor difference, but it’s actually huge. By using air handlers instead of air ducts, a ductless system can avoid the need for air ducts while also providing a more customized approach to comfort. Each air handler can be set at a different temperature depending on its location, so you can accurately cool your home to your specific comfort needs.
Why Choose a Ductless System?
Ductless air conditioners are incredibly efficient at what they do. They’re a machine that’s incredibly good at cooling a home, and they last just as long as a central air conditioner. Don’t let the conventional way of doing things steer you into avoiding such a great system like a ductless air conditioner.
Not only that, but they also function as a heating system as well. The refrigerant can be reversed so it pulls heat from the outside and brings it inside! This allows a ductless mini split to become an all year round solution for cooling and heating needs.
